Psychiatrists

Dr. Peter Chen

Dr. Peter Chen, Consultant Psychiatrist, is a general psychiatrist who has worked in various public and private settings over the past 20 years. He has experience in providing individualised and collaborative psychiatric care (including psychotherapy and pharmacotherapy) for individuals with mood disorders, anxiety disorders and obsessive compulsive disorders.

Dr. Gaurav Deva

Dr Gaurav Deva is a general Psychiatrist with a special interest in psychotherapy, mood, anxiety and psychotic disorders. Dr Deva has extensive experience in public and private psychiatry.

Dr Melanie Jones

Dr Jones is a general adult psychiatrist who works with people with a range of concerns and conditions, particularly mood, adjustment and anxiety disorders.  She has worked in public and private psychiatry in a variety of settings and currently practises exclusively via telehealth.  She has experience managing medication issues and changes, providing information on the role of medications, and using strategies to reduce any impact of discontinuation syndrome.  Dr Jones has a special interest in using lifestyle measures and tailored psychotherapy to complement and support pharmacological treatments. She is also available to provide longer term psychotherapy where this is of benefit.

Dr. Suzanne Koh

Dr Suzanne Koh is a general Psychiatrist who has a special interest in mother/baby psychiatry and psychotherapy. She has extensive experience working in public psychiatry and is happy to see patients for management of anxiety disorders, depression, schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.

Dr. Azita Moradi

Dr Azita Moradi is a general adult psychiatrist and psychotherapist with over 17 years of experience in psychiatry. Having completed most of her specialist training at The Alfred Hospital, Dr Moradi has a special interest in mood and anxiety disorders, women’s mental health, grief and loss, as well as adjustment issues. She utilizes several modalities personalized for the care of each individual. These may include pharmacotherapy, as well as psychotherapies including: CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), ACT (Acceptance Commitment Therapy), Mindfulness based therapies, short & long term psychodynamic psychotherapy and interpersonal therapy.

Dr Gabriella Nastasi

Dr Gabriella Nastasi is a general adult psychiatrist who specialises in mood disorders, anxiety, psychotic disorders and has a special interest in psychotherapy and psychoanalytic theory. She has experience working in both the public and private sectors and completed all her psychiatric training in Melbourne.

Dr. Philip Price

Dr Philip Price is a general Psychiatrist with a special interest in individual long-term psychotherapy for patients with personality disorder. Dr Price has extensive experience in psychiatry, working with complex patients with psychosis, mood disorder and personality disorder.

Dr. Brett Stewart

Dr. Brett Stewart is a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist and General Psychiatrist with an interest in providing psychotherapy and treatment for anxiety disorders, mood disorders and personality disorders. He provides a family focused approach including child-focused parent therapy. He is particularly interested in assisting people to overcome the emotional and psychological effects of developmental adversity.

Dr Denise Wu

Dr Denise Wu is a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist with considerable experience across both public and private settings. Dr Wu works with children and adolescents aged 0-18 and their families with a particular interest in parent-infant therapy, play therapy, child psychotherapy and family work. She completed her medical training in New Zealand and her psychiatry training in Victoria including a year as the Child Psychiatry Fellow at The Royal Children’s Hospital. Dr Wu also speaks fluent Mandarin in addition to English.

Dr Vivien Yeo

Dr Vivien Yeo is a general adult Psychiatrist, having completed her training in psychiatry at St Vincent’s Hospital in Melbourne. She has extensive experience, having worked in community mental health teams and psychiatric inpatient wards. She sees patients with a broad range of mental health issues, including schizophrenia, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, stress and trauma related disorders. Dr Yeo is driven by achieving positive outcomes for her patients and enjoys working collaboratively with patients to provide individualised care using a biopsychosocial paradigm.

Lucy O’Neill

Lucy O’Neill has a special interest in perinatal mood disorders and adjustment difficulties in parenthood and worked 4 years at the Austin Parent Infant Programme. Lucy also has extensive experience in working with mental illness, anxiety and depression using both Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

Michael Gurr (Doctor of Clinical Psychology)

Dr Michael Gurr is a clinical psychologist who works in private practice and in public health as a senior clinical psychologist. He has extensive experience in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP) and trauma informed approaches.
